Here's a bunch of IFF samples to use in AmIRC... or wherever you want!! :^)
They're named for what they could be used for in AmIRC, but of course the
final choice is up to you...
I use the "Remarkable Deduction" sample as my system error beep!
Nobody lets you know you screwed up better than Ralph Kramden does!! :^)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I sampled all of these sounds myself, using the following equipment:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
My Amiga!! :^) (A2000/28 at the time, I have an A3000 now though)
Perfect Sound v3.22 hardware (cheap, yet effective ;^)
Audition4 sampling software (the best... too bad it's not WB3.x compatible)
Sony 18-band graphic equalizer with spectrum analyzer
(used in realtime during sampling)
Sony 3650 power amp (60 watts RMS/channel)
Sharp Linytron TV set
(connected into my home stereo & sampled via the Sony 3650 line-outs)
Plus some trickery using low sampling rates, and clever EQ settings combined
with some Audition4 tricks to guarantee small sample sizes, and good audio
quality. Nobody wants big bloated samples... unless you're a Windows user ;^)
Happy IRC'ing!!! -Paula-
I can be contacted on EfNet IRC, in the #amiga channel.
My IRC nick is "paula-" or "paulaM"
